Carole Wright

Extract from "Crazy for You" programme - 2001

Carole has enjoyed a lifelong association with the theatre. She studied classical ballet and tap with the Jean Hemmings School of Dancing in London from the age of three. From that point she was hooked on dancing and performed in many ballets, pantos and musical shows in London.

Carole moved to Bath with her husband and in 1974, when her two sons were attending Batheaston Primary School, she helped form a musical group with the School's PTA, consequently acting as choreographer and performing in pantos and revues.

When that group disbanded in 1983, Carole joined BLOG and has appeared in nearly every show since then, particularly enjoying her role as Mrs Josephs in Blitz!. She has also been a member of Bath Phoenix Players, appearing in The Phoenix Phollies, as well as plays; her two favourite parts being Dorothy in Stepping Out and Ethel Gow in Fumed Oak. As well as BLOG, Carole is also a member of Bath Unity Players and regularly appears in their pantos, particularly enjoying her roles as Anna in Hansel and Gretal and Queen Mog in Dick Whittington.

Carole is chairman of Batheaston Townswomen's Guild and would like to thank them for their continued support of all BLOG and Unity shows.
