Extract from "Oliver" programme - 2000
Lynda's desire to go on the stage led her to join Bath Unity Players in 1971, and later Bath Phoenix Players (then Stothert & Pitt Drama Group). Since then, she has juggled several productions a year between the groups, including pantomimes. She has played everything from an Egyptian mummy and a witch to a principal boy, "Oh yes she has!".
Lynda recently enjoyed playing her favourite kind of role (comedy characters) as Mrs Slipslop in Joseph Andrews. Some other favourites include Nicola in Daughter of the Left Hand, Suzy Henderson in Wait Until Dark, Gretchen Twitchill in The Creature Creeps and Daisy Meredith in Daisy Pulls it Off. Award nominated performances include Mary Featherstone in How the Other Half Loves and Mariam in Outside Edge.
Tap dancing is just one of Lynda's other interests, so she joined BLOG for 42nd Street in 1995 and has been with BLOG ever since. Lynda played one of the maids in last year's production of My Fair Lady.
